Our first deck features Black activists, change makers, and dreamers from the past and present along with a few interesting facts. from Some of the people included are more well-known, like President Barack Obama, Maya Angelou, and Simone Biles. You may also be excited to learn about lesser-know individuals like Elgin Baylor, Matthew Henson, Mary Walker, and Florence Mills.

Meet the founders

Bri James and Charnaie Gordon are mothers, educators, and creators. They never thought a casual Instagram message would turn into a friendship, let alone a business partnership. The pair have worked together on a number of projects and three years after their first collaboration, they’re excited to bring you the Young Historian’s Club.

Bri and Charnaie believe that learning and play go hand and hand and anything is possible when you explore.
